Drifting Leaves Autumn Tag

Tis the time of year for tags, I suppose, as I have been tagged once more, this time by the lovely Isabelle Knight over at Spring Falls Chronicle! So a huge thank you to her, and definitely go check out her blog–she has a lot of fun content!

As I’m writing this, I’m curled in a blanket with a cat watching it snow outside–but several of the trees still have orange and yellow leaves left on them, and it’s still technically autumn, so it’s okay, haha!

The Rules:

  • Download the cover photo and use it for your post (Done below.)
  • Acknowledge the person who tagged you (Thank you, Isabelle!)
  • Tag others and comment on their blog to let them know!
  • Slip into autumn vibes

1. If autumn isn’t your favorite season, what is? And if autumn is your favorite season, why?

Autumn isn’t my favorite season–winter is. Autumn is actually my second least favorite season after summer (an irony seeing that summer is my birthday season!). I like the weather and colors, but that’s about it. I think maybe because Halloween is so strongly associated with autumn, and because I always have a ton of work in autumn I just don’t care for it?

2. What is your favorite thing that you do each autumn?

Hmm. Besides celebrating Thanksgiving, probably decorating for autumn? It’s fun, getting out all the scarecrows and ravens and pumpkins!

3. What are a couple of your favorite autumn memories?

Hmm, I do remember going Black Friday shopping a few times in the mall when I was younger, and one time my dad brought home this huge TV as a surprise which was super fun!

4. What book most reminds you of the autumn? Movie?

Hmm, the Anne of Green Gables movies and books definitely remind me of autumn. Not sure why, or if it’s just the red hair and cozy vibes within them. The 2005 Pride and Prejudice gives me autumn vibes too!

5. What is your favorite drink for this season?

Apple cider, for sure! I’ve been finding these carbonated Apple Cider Popz drinks I’ve really been loving this past autumn!

6. What is one new thing that you want to do this autumn?

I don’t really know? Typically when I want to do a new thing, I just do it unless other factors come into play. I guess I could say I’d like to get a new chair for my room, haha. Not really a new thing to DO, but it’s something new.

7. Do you decorate for the season? If so, how? If not, how come?

Yup, as I mentioned above. We also technically decorate for Christmas in the autumn, since we start in the first week of November usually. (And before you judge, when would you start if you had ten trees, two kitchens, two family rooms, a game room, dining room, library, and hallway to decorate? And yes, this is between two houses, haha.)

8. Thanksgiving is a couple of months away; what is your favorite way to celebrate? (I think most of my blogger friends are American. ) If not, skip this one.

Well, at the time of this post, Thanksgiving is past. But every year for as long as I can remember, we’ve always gone to my Grandma’s for Thanksgiving, and oftentimes the Dog Show is on haha.

9. What color most makes you think of autumn?

Oranges, reds, browns and yellows. Just like, the whole combination of those. But especially orange and red.

10. Type up a list of ten words or names (i.e. White Chicken Chili) that encapsulate the season of autumn for you.

  1. Colorful leaves.
  2. Snow falling with a background of colorful trees.
  3. Hot chocolate (even though I don’t drink it).
  4. Woolen mittens.
  5. Good books.
  6. Blankets.
  7. Kitties curled up on couches.
  8. Fireplaces decorated with fake leaves.
  9. Pumpkins.
  10. Scarecrows.

And now, the taggies!
