Announcement: I’ve Got Insta! (+ a Question)

Hello all! This post is out of my general blogging schedule, and that is because this post is just a simple announcement: I now have Instagram! Most of my posts should post there as well as Facebook now, and I’d really appreciate any and all the follows I can get! Besides blog posts, most of what I will be posting or reposting are things that have to do with medieval history, books, or writing. Like all the good stuff here on the blog! So please follow me on Instagram, and if you haven’t already, please follow me on Facebook too!

Now, for the question!

Around the beginning of July, the Lord started revealing to me some major changes to make to the blog in 2026. I’m looking forward to sharing them with you at the start of next year! As I’m still working out a few details for the new changes, I did want to put a concept up for discussion. 

If I opened invitations to guest post on my blog, would anyone be interested? The topics I mostly cover are:

  • Writing Tips
  • Bookish/Reading Topics (reviews, tropes, recommendations, etc)
  • History (Medieval is my sweet spot, but a post on other historical time periods would be welcome too!) 
  • Christian topics 

but I may consider other topics on a case-by-case basis!

Of course I would be willing to swap posts if requested as well. I would also reserve the right to accept or refuse certain guest posts if they don’t align with my blog and its vision or Christian principles. 

Guest Posting is valuable for bloggers because it helps widen our audiences. If you posted on my blog, readers of my blog who enjoyed your post may subscribe to your blog, and vice versa. I am just not sure how viable it may be for my blog at the moment. Thus, I’d love to hear your thoughts on the subject! Let me know in the comments below if you’d like to guest post (or read more guest posts) on my blog, or if you’d prefer if I stuck to posting my own content.

  1. I think guest posts are great, but I also love reading your original content as well. It would obviously be a mix, though, so I’m all for it!

    Quick pro tip, though: if you want to get guest posts, your best bet is to email people with a specific topic in mind. Of all my guest posts (including several that are coming soon), only ONE person filled out the form I created. The rest were happy to write something once I personally reached out with an idea and request.

    And, of course, I’d be happy to write a guest post for you if there’s ever something you’d be interested in!
