Inspiration for a Springy Story

Spring is right around the corner, so what better to prepare for it than to gather a bunch of spring aesthetics to provide some inspiration for a story set in spring or which has spring vibes! I think of many things when I think of spring, and I will be gathering a bunch of these things together in this post to hopefully help you get some inspiration for your story, which maybe has some of these vibes!

Spring In Writing

Oftentimes there isn’t a select book or story focused on the season of spring like people do with Christmas books. There might be an Easter story or two, but many springy-type stories don’t have to have spring explicitly mentioned in them, as much as the vibes of spring.

An example of this is perhaps a post World War 2 story. A soldier comes home and he has to start a new life. It’s a new beginning. Or maybe it’s a coming of age story, where the main character is venturing off into the wider world for the first time on their own. Or even a sweet, contemporary romance. If it’s a lower stakes “fluffy” type read, I would consider it a “springy” book.

Springy Read

I would recommend the book Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen as a good springy read! It’s sweet, with a fun, romantic relationship between the two main characters.

Springy Movie

While it can also be a wintery movie, The Sound of Music also gives off wonderful springy vibes! A sweet musical about a governess who wins the heart of the seven children she is sent to teach and their father, it is a classic movie everyone should see at least once in their life!

Springy Song

While there are tons of songs I could recommend to help you write your springy book, the one that first came to mind was Dreamwalker by J.T. Peterson. An uplifting instrumental, it gives me all the vibes of hope, life, and a new beginning.

Springy Collages

Now for some springy collages!

First up, we’ve got a couple of collages focusing on some settings which give off springy vibes!

Then we’ve got a few springy objects and animals!

And finally, a couple of springy collages with possible male and female character faceclaims .

And that is it for today’s compilation of springy things to give you inspiration! What do you think of when you think of spring? What springy-type books or movies do you know of? What is your springy story about? Let me know in the comments below! ~ Kay Adelin
